Hi,
I'm Marko from Germany. Just trying the DeltaChat Client with SailfishX and elementary
OS 5.0
On elementary I get a error message after the npm start. Anyone the same problem here?

not me -- but i am curious about elementary OS -- saw some nice screenshosts ;)
did you try another download from the releases page?

Hello Holger,
I've trying the recent version from github and build it via npm on elementary 5. The
build was successfully but as I tried to start the app they give me error about a missing
file.
Elementary is fast lightweighted and the GUI is nice polished. But the beauty contest will
win Deepin Linux :)
My email is hosted at the /e/ foundation. They develop the new eelo Android OS. I was a
first hour supporter of these project, so I get my own mail.
I will try a deb file with gdebi next time.

This sounds like this issue
https://github.com/deltachat/deltachat-desktop/issues/283 but should be
fixed. At least i cant reproduce it currently. Can you try it again
(delete/rename ~/.config/DeltaChat) and tell us about it?

Hi Leon,
the error has something to do with a missing file at .js
I believe there is a missing file because Elementary Linux is very minimal in
installation.
Yesterday I've tried the recent .deb file. The installation works like a charm, no
problems here. As I start the desktop client I was missing the backup re-deploy feature.
But the desktop client works now.

Great to hear that the latest version worked for you. We plan to have
the backup feature completed before the end of the year (or even
