hi all,
the delta-dev mailing list is quite silent usually as most comms happen in chats, github,
forum and fediverse/twitter channels. In case you ignore those, here is a pointer to the
release of "webxdc" support, a new way to combine chat-messaging and web apps:

Is there a way to bridge an XMPP account to a DC list? I was able to chat
with XMPP to a DC user with a XMPP to mail bridge but don't know if it's
possible to do the same with a DC list. It seems DC lists don't have an
address (e.g. namelist(a)dclists.chat).

AFAIK, DC groups are managed simply as a list of addresses in carbon copy.
What you want to achieve *could* work with a mailing list address, like
this one.

Which bridge are you using for XMPP/mail ?
The bridge is Cheogram SMTP. https://smtp.cheogram.com
I found it's too slow and not really an efficient solution.

it doesn't supports groups if that is what you meant (joining an XMPP room
from deltachat/email) it is only for private chats, if you meant joining
an XMPP user to a mailing list, that is quite possible if you are the mailing
list owner or moderator, adding the email address that bridge to the xmpp
user

mailing lists feel quite the organic manifestation of super groups and channels
for Delta Chat

tweaks were needed because currently DC support for mailing lists is not
super nice (for the super group chat use case) so I plan to create a "deltachat"
room/mailing-list to chat there in a more chatty/flooded way than this delta-dev
mailing list so we can chat more actively without disturbing too much since
this one seems to be more for announcements etc

To create an ml you must first choose a service (or create one on your own
server) of mailing lists such as freelists, famalistes etc. then you will
have an e-mail address to send messages to the ml.
I think this ml is for DEVs, not general inquiries.
