Hi,
that is the answer! Thank you very much!
I have no problem with a dedicated account - but please with an another app - maybe
Gamma-Chat or so.
If a dedicated account guaranteed, that i can communicate with all EMails, that is OK
<<"for me">> too.
But many People trust only there own EMail-Server and will be happy to use EMail as Chat
(like DeltaChat :-)).
I use web.de, my friends use arcor, gmx ... and had never problems since maybe 1 year or
so with DeltaChat.
If DeltaChat starts with GooglePlay, i know(!), that many of my another friends will be
using DeltaChat too. F-Droid is for many People an obstacle ("not
known=unsecure").
Best Regards and many success,

That's exactly what a dedicated mode/account
is: you need to go and
open yet
*another* account for reliably using delta.
If you use your current mail account (shared mode) to log-in in
delta, you
are very likely to encounter bugs and disrupt
your mailbox which gets
filtered unreliably. Which is why developers started recommending
using a
dedicated account.
Are you basing this prediction on testing the current F-droid version
(0.100)?
The great majority of people on this list have
expressed perplexities
on
this very recommendation and agree with you.
Unfortunately we've just finally come to know that it is not a
priority to
mitigate this issue, so the only way to use delta
is to create
another
dedicated mail account.
Did you get my earlier mail that shared accounts are fully supported
and that we think the moving logic has even improved?
We invested several weeks of efforts to support shared account usage.
True, it's not the only priority of development -- getting a Desktop
version out and migrating the UI codebase from unmaintainable Telegram
UI code to well workable Signal UI code was a major undertaking.
Releases were in fact delayed for some weeks by focusing and refining
Shared account usage, and the neccessary involved default moving logic.
Please report problems and bugs with shared account usage based on
the 0.100 version -- as precisely as you can. We'd like to stabilize
Delta/Android during february and then publish to G-Play store.
