Sorry if we haven't been clear. Yes, all development continues on Rust core.
And the C-lib is EOL (Enf of Life). Note that the Rust-core has the same C-API
as C-core. IOW, C-core's APIs and designs continue to live in their Rust incarnation
but on a safer basis, and with a much easier build-story on all platforms.
