Diese Nachricht wurde von meinem Android-Gerät mit K-9 Mail gesendet.
I don't know how I reached the MailPile's website (some link from your
sites or github?) and I would like to use it as my email client.
I thought that many services now provide an integrated chat
(Gmail/Hangout, Outlook/Skype,...) so I thought if DeltaChat could be
the defalut MailPile chat service. You share the same privacy-oriented
vision and I think that these 2 services could be well integrated.
I'm just dreaming and I'm not even asking you to consider this choice
as I guess it would be a huge effort, but... have you ever thought to
Delta Chat as the "Skype for Business" of a free software suite? It
would be great IMHO.
Regards,
Enrico
hey all,
am on my way to Bruxelles for the two-day OpenPGPSummit.
https://wiki.gnupg.org/OpenPGPEmailSummit201810
Intending to give a little talk on DeltaChat -- with
a focus on privacy/crypto features.
There are going to be folks who have or are to implement Autocrypt
in their mail apps. DeltaChat fully supports Autocrypt Level 1 for
mail encryption since half a year now.
Of course DeltaChat is quite different from most other mail apps.
It focuses strongly on usability and aims to implement chat UX
metaphors known from Whatsapp/Telegram/Signal/Threema in constrast to
the subject-based UI flows known from traditional mail apps.
What is shared among all mail apps, though, is the use of
e-mail servers for relaying messages, the message
format (MIME) and the use of OpenPGP for encryption
(though Autocrypt does not neccessarily preclude the
use of non-pgp in the future).
Am also involved in talking about "countermitm" protocols
which aim to secure Autocrypt against active attacks.
They are implemented in DeltaChat and have been user-tested
with mostly positive feedback. There are still issues that
need discussion and resolving though.
so much, hope you all also enjoy your weekend :)

If anyone here on the list fancies going to "35c3" the Chaos
Communication Congress convention Dec 27-30th 2018 in Leipzig, we got a
special "regenerative" voucher from our friends at the CCC-Frieburg, for
buying tickets before sale officially starts. It's not a limitless
voucher -- please get back to us quick on it, by sending a delta/mail to
delta(a)merlinux.eu
It's likely we are again doing an UX session and a developer-meetup at 35c3,
if not have a dedicated assembly table there.

bjoern, daniel and florian just published a blog post
about the new Delta/Android developments (dubbed "Delta-Dev")
which can be trial-installed already side-by-side the publically
released one, and is meant to fix a bunch of issues ...
